Tehsil Gairatganj, District Raisen, Madhya Pradesh – A Brief Profile (2011 Census)

According to the 2011 Census of India, Gairatganj is a Nagar Panchayat (municipal town) located in Gairatganj Tehsil of Raisen District, Madhya Pradesh. It comprises approximately 3,830 households with a total population of 18,184, including 9,449 males and 8,735 females.

The sex ratio is notably high at 1,181 females per 1,000 males, well above the state average. Children aged 0 to 6 years account for around 16.5% of the total population.

The overall literacy rate stands at 72.03%, with male literacy at 76.64% and female literacy at 68.26%, which is higher than the state average. The village also has a significant presence of Scheduled Tribes (56.6%) and Scheduled Castes (8.3%).
